iPhone Development Forum

I am launching a new forum where developers can discuss their issues and concerns developing iPhone native application. It’s expected to have the NDA over when apple releases their iPhone OS 2.0 today. After that, I will be able to post my example applications i build before with Beta versions of iPhone SDK. This will also cover any news or articles interest for iPhone development.

This forum hosts sample codes and working copy of the project on few situations. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel at all.

Sorry folks. I didn’t realize that i signed up with NDA. So, i can’t publish them legally. I will keep them added to my tutorials and i will publish them later. My old tutorials about Hello world iPhone and iPhone Button click are not available anymore.

Apple finally came through the easy way for Interface Builder users to create applications. Now the steps are very simple than Beta 2 version of Hello World.

  1. Open XCode and Create a new “Cocoa Touch Application”
  2. Open MainWindow.xib by double clicking it. This launches Interface Builder with a blue background window. Design the UI with Label control and set background to something which you like.
  3. Save and Close Interface Builder
  4. Click “Build and Run” from XCode

As per latest moves from Apple, it looks like, there will be 3G iPhone release before the end of this month. Already, we heard that, there are no inventory of iPhones in New York stores. Looks like, Apple is selling the existing inventory and get ready for the new release.

Also, there is a rumor about AT&T stores running out of iPhones. It will be a great thing for Apple iPhone native application developers to wait till WWDC and start testing them in the new phone with 3G speed.
